Stayed as a family for 2 nights in #15 and enjoyed it very much. We loved how close it is to all kinds of activities in the White Mountains. A... read more number of good hikes are close by, and Santa's Village is only 20 minutes away. The cottage is small and just so cute. We LOVED the screened porches. The general store across the street is perfect for all the things that you will surely forget. Monroe's down the street is a great place for breakfast or lunch, and even the famous Polly's Pancake Parlor isn't too far of a ride if you want to head out for a nice drive to Sugar Hill. It's nice to have all the windows open in the cabin, and the neighbors in close proximity around us were all very respectful with the noise at night. My kids loved the playground area, and if we'd had more time, would have loved the pool too. Would definitely go back.
June 25, 2017We try and get up here yearly to enjoy all that the white mountains have to offer during the summer time. This has by far been a favorite place for... read more me and my big family. Over the past years we’ve been able to stay in many of the different cottages. They are all so cute, different and extremely cozy. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful during our stays if there was ever a problem they were right on it. So honest and dedicated to making sure everyone loves the place as much as they do. Days that we hung around the property we loved being in the pool especially this year being in my 3rd trimester I pretty much lived there. I also put their new septic system to the test with all the morning sickness and constant bathroom trips. We were sad to hear that this will be the last year with the owners and the amazing cleaning staff since it has been sold this year. We hope the new management will be just as good but we’re very sad that our daughter won’t get to grow up with the staff they have here. Especially one of the cleaning girls she has been amazing with my nieces they love to fallow her around and watch her she’ll sneak in some play time with them. Thank you for all the amazing memories you will be missed
July 23, 2019These cabins are nice. The location was great to do the Cog Railway in the morning. The front screened in porch was nice and I would have enjoyed it had... read more we been there longer. The hotel provided info on places to eat in the area which was nice. I appreciated the staff for going to trim our lights on when we arrived after dark so we could find the cabin. The bathroom was small but the rest was good size. Bit older but still pleasant.

This was our first time staying in a cabin up north! We loved it. Very clean & comfy..it had everything we needed after a long day of snowmobiling (trails were... read more literally right across the street!!!) See pic attached.
We got up, showered & went across the street to the gas station (which has a huge store with anything you could need...clothing, food, hardware, parts for sleds), after filling the snowmobiles with gas we hit the trails. The cabins are about 1 minute from the trail.
Owners are amazing! We will definitely be staying again in a couple weeks! Perfect for a weekend getaway! We highly recommend it.
January 22, 2018We had a very nice cabin with comfortable bed. The cabins are older (which is what I like as they are the ones with character) but exceeding clean and delightfully... read more decorated. Really nice screened porch to relax on. We were early for season so was very quite.
July 6, 2018The cabin was very clean. Because the weather was cold and rainy during the majority of our stay, we were unable to use the enclosed porch area of the... read more cabin. There sleeping area of the cabin was tiny and there was a very small area to hang some clothes and nowhere to put our suitcases. There were 2 beds, but if we had four people, our clothes would have had to go out on the porch. There was one chair inside and we brought a plastic chair in from the porch and used a tv tray for a table which allowed no room to move around. Getting to the small fridge and cupboard was a challenge. We were advised that we needed to let the water run "awhile" to get warm water to the cabin because the pipes ran underground. We had to let it run for at least 5 minutes to get to lukewarm, so face and handwashing were cold water only. We did have to let it run at least that long to get a shower in, but then the water was warm and full until someone else must have turned on their water and the pressure decreased to half.
The wall unit heater either blasted you out because the room was so small or you shivered while you took a break from the heat.
The location of the cabins are excellent and I think it would be a much different story if we had visited in the summer when the weather is warm and the pool is open. We had easy access to the Cog Railway up Mt. Washington which was one of our objectives. We also had easy access to the Franconia Notch State Park, Crawford Notch, and the abundance of waterfalls and covered bridges. We arrived on Tuesday and found out that there are very few restaurants in the area that are open on Tuesday during this time of year after calling about 5 or 6 to check. I would not come back again in October.
